Especially in digital printing it is helpful to know our article abbreviations to find the right article for the right application.

General finishing / for transfer dye-sub printing

CS

Permanent flame retardant yarn (Trevira CS), only suitable for transfer printing / e.g. 3570CS, 5088CS

FL

Permanent flame retardant finishing. Mainly for transfer printing, but also improves printing quality slightly when used for direct printing (like on Gandi, FabriVU, and other LF-Printers) / e.g. 7058FL, 6050KFL

K

Extra-pre-shrunk for guaranteed low shrinkage. Mainly for transfer printing, but could be also an advantage for some sensitive printers or widths up to 320 cm, allows good print trough, often used with DGen for flag printing / e.g. 6050K, 6043K

Finishing for direct printing with sublimation inks

BC

For water-based sublimation inks. Mainly for flag fabrics, allows some print trough, also good colours and sharpness, used e.g. on ReggianiDream, best coating for Dystar inks, difficult to combine with FL / e.g. 6050KBC, 7058BC

BHx2

double-sided printable block-out, for direct printing with diverse inks / e.g. 6659BHx2, 7137BHx2

FLBC

For water-based sublimation inks, special development for DyStar inks, fabric gets flame retardant after washing / e.g. 7058FLBC

FLBE

For oil-based sublimation inks, UV curing inks and solvent inks. Stronger coating, also works well on Dystar inks, flame retardant (not permanent) / e.g. 7058FLBE

FLBI

For water-based sublimation inks. Economical version of FLBS, flame retardant (not permanent), (New development) / e.g. 6043FLBI

FLBN

For diverse sublimation inks. Nano-based treatment, becomes water-repellent after heat fixation, flame retardant (not permanent) / e.g. 7058FLBN

FLBS

For water-based sublimation inks. Developed for DuPont inks to reduce bleeding in rain, but now main coating, e.g. also for Dgen, Kiian, JTec.; flame retardant (not permanent) / e.g. 7058FLBS, 7456FLBS, 7582FLBS

Finishing for direct printing with solvent inks

FLBE

For solvent inks. Stronger coating, also works well on Dystar inks, flame retardant (not permanent) / e.g. 7058FLBE, 6050KFLBE

FLBY

For solvent inks. One sided coating for solvent and UV-curing inks (New development), permanent flame retardant / e.g. 7255FLBY, 7057FLBY

BHx2

double-sided printable block-out, for direct printing with diverse inks / e.g. 6659BHx2, 7137BHx2

FC

Flour-Carbon based, article is water- and dirt-repellent, only suitable for transfer printing / e.g. 2160FC

FE

Magnet adhesive (available upon request)

FLBN

For diverse sublimation inks. Nano-based treatment, becomes water-repellent after heat fixation, flame retardant (not permanent) / e.g. 7058FLBN

KDVS

Laminated with PES-nonwoven, only suitable for transfer printing / e.g. 6659KDVS

KMx2

Doublesided block-out, only suitable for transfer printing / e.g. 6659KMx2

LUX

for direct and transfer printing with sublimation inks. Single sided coating for backlit applications, flame retardant, (New development) / e.g. 7137LUX, 7058LUX

PH

Glows in the dark / e.g. 7058PH (available upon request)
